(Blog 11) Spreading the Word

The team has to get creative with their ideas to spread the word about Wing Tails Sticker Studio but they don’t even know when Opening Day will be.
“I could try making some flyers? Lima said, “Maybe hand them out around town?”
“Flyers are great if we had more time. We know we have at least three weeks, but we don’t have months. And flyers don’t really get kept once they are seen.” Spyder said, pacing. “Plus, we would need someone to fly through town to pass them out and I don’t want to take either of you away from the work here. We’re going to need something that’ll grab a bigger audience really fast and something they’ll see ALOT… What if we posted it with the Webs?”
Calisto and Lima looked at each other with the same expression which was a bit of repressed laughter with confusion. “The what?” Calisto chuckled. “Do you mean the internet?”
“No, not that web, the Websters. They are a group of dragons at the Scalesville Community Council that reports on current events and will advertise community events for free or business events for a small fee.” Spyder continued, “But we don’t have an event now because Opening Day is delayed and it’s too risky to set a date before we know we’ve passed that inspection.”
Lima added, “We’ll pass the inspection though. I mean, we make stickers. But isn’t the inspection only so we can sell stickers? What if we had an event where we just gave stickers away? I’ve made so many samples and tests that we need to do something with. And we’re new to town. It could be like a house warming meet-and-greet.”
Spyder’s eye’s widened, “Lima, you’re a genius! The studio is nearly done and that would give us a chance to meet the other tenants on the block too. Honestly, this part of town could use a refresh. Maybe it would breathe some life into the residents’ scales with a reason to get together. I wonder if the Webs will advertise for us if we’re not technically in business yet.”
